HK is just an hour and forty five minutes travel by plane from Clark International Airport. I don't remember flying to HK other than in Clark...it's always been in Clark International airport every time I fly to HK. I kinda like Clark International airport because it's closer where I live so less traffic in going to and fro there and the plane ticket is much cheaper when you book it and select Clark International airport as your point of origin.
Ok so, how far Hong Kong is?...well, It's more like going to other parts of Mindanao or Visayas region of Philippines if you are coming from Manila "parang pumunta ka lang ng probinsya" that's the phrase I use to describe the proximity of HK from Manila.
Once you get to the HK, you will be amazed with its spacious airport, state-of-the-art facilities and its beauty. HK International airport is indeed one of the busiest airports in Asia. So there, from the airport to its city proper, there is a fifty-fifty chance of being in-love with this city. I sure did and can't deny it! that's why I consider it my second home now....I was born in Manila and I grew up in Manila which means I didn't have any province at all, so I'm now considering Hong Kong as my official "probinsya ni Kikai."
I first visited Hong Kong in October 2012. My friend based in Hong Kong picked me up at the airport for the first time and handed me a HK map then the next day I was on my own until my four-day-long-trip in the city ended. I really can't imagine myself how I was able to manage touring around the city alone where the road is quite different in orientation (right hand driving) but hey, I survived it and can't wait to come back on my next trip! (read my related blog about HK soon!)
